Healthy Chocolate Milk Recipe

The great thing about our protein balls is that they taste like a sweet treat, but you are also getting all the best macronutrients into your body when you eat them. As you can probably tell, we’re big fans of eating or drinking something that tastes naughty but is actually pretty good for you.

One drink that The Protein Ball Co’s kiddies really enjoy is our healthy chocolate milk. (Of course we don’t tell them it’s healthy!) So we thought we’d share the recipe with you so you can make your children a glass of this cold, chocolatey goodness. Or so you can make it for yourself + feel like a big kid!

  • 1 cup almond milk (We always use Rude Health’s organic almond drink for this recipe)
  • 2 pitted dates
  • 1 tbsp cacao powder
  • 1 tbsp hazelnut butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 handful crushed ice
  1. Add all ingredients to a blender and blitz away. Feel free to add more or less almond milk depending on your preferred consistency. We like it quite runny so it’s a proper indulgent drink. (Plus it goes further!)
  2. For an extra chocolatey hit, accompany the chocolate milk with a delicious packet of our Cacao + Orange protein balls and cure your sweet tooth for days!
