Our Story

Back in 2015, Matt & Hayley Hunt had one mission: shake up snacking. Protein was booming, but choices were bland, boring, and full of nonsense. So they rolled up their sleeves and started making protein balls that tasted as good as they were good for you. More than 30 million bags later, The Protein Ball Co is still rolling strong. Twelve bold flavours, four punchy ranges, and one clear promise: snacks that fuel your body without sacrificing flavour or fun.

Ballsy by Nature

Ballsy by Nature isn’t just a tagline, it’s how we roll. Ballsy means bold, brave, and honest. No corners cut, no cardboard “health snacks”, just flavour-packed bites that hit hard and keep you moving.

We’re ballsy because nature is. From crunchy peanuts to juicy blueberries, cacao to lemon, we let real ingredients shine. No fakery, no fluff - just nature doing its thing, with a little help from our kitchen.

  • High in daily fibre

  • Made gluten free

  • No added junk*

  • No added sugar

  • No palm oil

  • Made GMO free

Keeping It Real

We source every ingredient, make every ball, and do it all in our own kitchen. From whey to egg white to plant-based proteins, we’ve got every lifestyle covered.

The Protein Ball Co sits proudly alongside It’s The Dog’s and The Great British Porridge Co. Different names, same values: powering your day the natural way.

As you probably have gathered by now, at The Protein Ball Co, we don’t mess about with fillers, fakery or fluff. Every ball is packed with ingredients we’re proud to shout about, the kind your body actually wants. No shortcuts, no shady stuff, just honest bites made with integrity. And behind every bag? A tight-knit crew of friends and family who started small, dream big, and roll together to keep it real. That’s our recipe.

Sustainability

Being Ballsy by Nature means doing right by people, taste, and the planet. We don’t believe in shortcuts, whether it’s what goes in our balls or what goes around them.

  • Powered by the Sun

We use a lot of dates, and they’re a core part of our recipes. The best bit? Dates are grown with the help of solar power, meaning every bag is fuelled by sunshine before it even reaches our kitchen. It’s natural energy at its finest, and it keeps our snacks rooted in something bigger than us.

  • Bags That Don’t Cost the Earth

Packaging was our biggest challenge. Years of testing, failing and pushing meant we finally landed the real deal: paper recyclable bags. This was a massive win. No compromise on quality or on freshness, just packaging you can feel good about tossing in the recycling bin.

  • Made Here, Sourced by Us

We’re proudly UK made, rolling every ball in our own kitchen. We don’t rely on middlemen or mystery suppliers - we source every ingredient ourselves. That way, we know exactly what’s going into your snacks, where it comes from, and that it’s up to the standards we refuse to compromise on.

  • Still Rolling Forward

We know sustainability isn’t a box you tick once - it’s an ongoing fight. We’re ballsy enough to keep asking the hard questions, keep pushing for better, and keep making choices that make a difference. Because fuelling your body shouldn’t come at the planet’s expense.
