Nutrition

There's no denying our protein balls taste delicious. But surely if they taste that good, they can't be good for you...? WRONG! Our balls are packed to the brim with goodness, made only with 100% natural ingredients. Read on to find out why our protein balls should be your go to snack!

Why Protein?

Proteins are used to produce new tissues for growth, tissue repair and to regulate & maintain body functions. Protein is essential for digestion, protection, immunity. Sounds good to us!

Improves recovery time - either exercise and/or injury through supporting muscle growth

Reducing muscle loss - helping to aid muscle mass

Helping maintain a healthy weight - supports healthy bodily functions

Curbing hunger - stay fuller for longer

Building lean muscle - which can help to boost metabolism

Whey

Whey protein is absorbed by the body and contains all the essential amino acids. It is also high in branched-chain amino acids (BCAA), which promote muscle growth and immune system-boosting glutamine. Three of our flavours contain whey protein - Peanut Butter, Cacao & Orange and Coconut & Macadamia.

egg

Egg White protein is easily absorbed by the body and is cholesterol free. Eggs are a high-quality protein source full of vitamins and minerals. This form of protein can also be suitable for those who follow a paleo diet, depending on how strict they are. Only one of our flavours contains egg white protein - Cherry Bakewell.

Pea & Rice

Together, rice & pea protein provide a complete protein source with all nine amino acids that our bodies can't produce. Another important benefit is that like whey, they are both not too difficult for the body to digest, meaning that they can get to work quickly in the body! Found in our Vegan & Breakfast to go ranges.

What about Fibre?

Fibre feeds good gut bacteria & is essential for a healthy gut! It can help reduce gut inflammation, aid immunity & help to lower blood pressure & cholesterol levels.

Vitamin b12

Vitamin B12 is a nutrient that plays a big role in supporting our energy levels. It does this by assisting our bodies to get energy from the food we eat whilst helping to reduce feelings of tiredness.

vitamin c

Vitamin C is best known for its role in supporting our immune system. Its other major role is in the formation of collagen, which helps to hold the body together by providing structure and strength.

vitamin d3

Vitamin D helps calcium to be absorbed into the body from the foods we eat. Because of this vitamin D, like calcium, is important for our teeth and bone health throughout our lives.

What's so special about no added sugar?

Added sugars are processed by the body very quickly and tend to
result in a ‘sugar crash’ which generally leaves us feeling hungry, irritable and craving more!  They also stimulate the production of free fatty acids in the liver which can increase the risk of diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, cancer and rheumatoid arthritis.

Natural sugars like those found in our Protein Balls howver, are absorbed into the bloodstream and metabolised much slower. They take much more effort for our bodies to break down than added sugars. These sugars don’t count towards those recommended 30g of free sugars per day.

But how do they taste so good?

Simple - 100% natural ingredients! We use the best quality dates, fruits, nuts & proteins to create our amazing range of Protein Balls. Gluten free, with no added sugar or sweeneners, you can snack away knowing that you're filling your body with goodness 💚
